Patrolling the township. by duster132 Patrolling the township. by duster132
Speed photobash/paint during my lunch.
The mech is from a picture of a real kitbash I made for the project.

Je suis vraiment impatient de découvrir la totalité de ce "Babiru Project"...ça m'a l'air d'être un projet assez ambitieux, avec une vrai démarche conceptuelle. Ç'est remarquable ce que vous faîtes en tout cas.

Only criticism I can find for this picture is that the rear legs have the thighs too short and the calves too long resulting in very short steps and reducing the speed.

Yes great work, loving the South African feel, also looks like Kwa'Mashu in Durban!

Thanks. I think the picture was from Soweto but I'm not sure.

love it, it looks like it comes from a local area where I stay (south Africa, Cape Town). Always loving your work man. Always.

Thanks. District 9 is one of my favorite sci-fi movie ever (I know it was in Johannesburg). ;)

All this artwork fits together so seamlessly and I've seen so much it feels like I can picture the entire world, and it's a scary-ass place.  Not somewhere any human would want to live.  Is that why they're all robots who can pack themselves in mile-high slums without issue?  Fucking rad no matter what, though.  So awesome.  This is the scifi epic I want to see.

Ill be damned!
all 4 legs and an elbow can be fully mechanically interchangeable (for easier repair)
it means, that all construction can walk on 3 or 4 legs, and one of a legs uses as skylift for rising the gun above buildings...
ANY ONE of 4 legs, wile staying on last 3 legs.

Man, you rock! Yesterday I listened this exactly barra-barra 20+ times from your play-list.

about pics... 4 legs vs 3 legs... 4 still wins.
but since we have 4 knees, nothing won't stop us from adding 1-2 elbows to construction.
elbow between corpus and the gun allows to lift gun above 1-2 floors buildings. maybe higher, depends from length of a skylift.

Those are cool, and seem to me to be far more realistic then a generally humanoid mech.  ie something far more plausible to be actually be built and used in the future.
