reminds me one of Samurai Jack episodes. Tower with only three archers that can destroy any army.

The first and the third have the best sense of depth but was fun seeing the various lighting. a great exercise I am sure it gave you different perspective on the same piece

And I say your training is paying off, just by this one picture. You capture a really insterest mood in this, and I love the focus of the lone castle type structure. You perfecty draw the focus toward it by the mountains and the characters owe eyes of direction. Also the cages of death add to the story, as well as the murkey clouds and mist. It's a scary place to be. But I also have to compliment you the texture through out this whole painting. It really does feel moist and grummy, and I love the leave and dead grass blowing in the wind behind the charcter, which also directs my eyes toward the center. The balance is really good as well, even though the focus is the middle, my eyes do come back to the main character as well as the sides of the painting, so that I can take in the creepy vibes. Really great job, keep growing as an artist.
